Use

This contract describes the general terms and conditions applicable to the use of the services offered by “Amicasa.” Any person (hereinafter, “User”) who wishes to access and/or use the site or the services offered may do so subject to these General Terms and Conditions, together with all other policies and principles that govern AMICASA and that are incorporated herein by reference.

By registering as a user on AMICASA, you agree to this Agreement and all other rules, including but not limited to those described in the following sections. In addition, the user agrees not to misuse our service for prohibited, immoral, or illegal purposes. If you violate any law, rule, or regulation, we reserve the right to suspend or delete your account at our discretion. The following is a general summary of your responsibilities as an Amicasa user.

Registration

At the time of registration we only require basic information from the user; however, we may need more detailed information later. The user must be at least 18 years of age to use our services.

Use of the Website

By using our website, the user accepts and is subject to all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations (including but not limited to all South Korean postal regulations and those established by foreign jurisdictions and courier services).

Security

The user undertakes to maintain the confidentiality of their Security Key. Your account is personal, unique, and non-transferable, and you agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use, as well as access by unauthorized third parties.

Account Cancellation

The user may cancel their account at any time as long as they have no pending transactions, shipments “on the way,” etc.

Prohibited Items & Inappropriate Purchases

By using our service, the user is subject to any regulations listing products that are unacceptable (and therefore cannot be shipped). Goods will not be shipped if they are classified as dangerous, prohibited, or restricted by IATA (International Air Transport Association), ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization), or any other relevant organization; or if it is not possible to ship the product safely or legally. If we receive products that we cannot ship, we will contact you immediately. We reserve the right to reject any product we consider inappropriate, even if it is legal.

We are not responsible for these items. If your assets are seized or confiscated, we are not obligated to offer you a refund or compensate you in any way. Prohibited items vary from country to country. These products include (but are not limited to): alcohol and coffee, animal and agricultural products, fuels and flammables, currency, dry ice, electronic cigarettes, gasoline, hate propaganda, hazardous materials, ivory, medications, motor vehicles, perfumes and colognes, perishable food, pirated or counterfeit goods, pornography, pressurized cans, tobacco, vitamins and supplements, weapons and their parts, among others.

Company Obligations

The company undertakes to provide the service for which it was contracted by the user. Its responsibility is to receive, store, and dispatch the products that the user (product owner) sends to the company's address.

The company is not responsible for the poor condition of products when they have arrived in that condition at the warehouse. Likewise, it is not the company's responsibility to verify the contents of packages or the condition of products, unless the customer requests it and pays the corresponding fee for that service. The company is not responsible for shortages or surpluses in your orders.

The company undertakes to store and take care of user packages until the user requests the shipment of their products. There are limitations on how long a package can remain in storage.

The company undertakes to take care of the information provided by the user according to the terms of the privacy policy.

User Obligations

  • The user agrees to provide the necessary information so that the company can provide the service. Such information must be true, accurate, and precise. The company is not responsible for any problems or delays that occur as a result of a user error or omission.
  • The user agrees to inform the company about packages arriving at our address prior to their arrival at the warehouse. In particular, they undertake to detail the contents, value, tracking numbers, and other data to facilitate identification.
  • The user agrees to pay the shipping value within 7 days after receiving the quote. Once this term has expired without payment, you must request a new quote or pay any difference in the rate resulting from the time elapsed.
  • The user must refrain from making illegal or fraudulent purchases, as well as engaging in any practice or act that may harm the company.
  • The user must enter their packages with all necessary information to identify them in their account on the amicasa.co.kr website before they arrive at our warehouse or, failing that, within 48 hours.

This statement is not exhaustive and may be modified by the company at any time.

Our Services

We reserve the right to change our services, processes, and rates at any time by making the modified terms public on the Site. The following is a general summary of AMICASA's service offerings, our obligations, and the responsibilities users must observe:

Mailbox Service

  • Packages and mail the user sends us will be admitted only if they have previously been entered into the user's personal account on our website.
  • Upon receiving your package, we collect all information necessary to accurately identify and ship your products. If necessary, we will physically open and inspect the package.
  • Packages that have not been registered in the system by the user will be stored for 30 days. If, within that period, the user requests late registration, a charge of USD $5 will be applied for the search and status update service. Once this period has expired, unclaimed packages will be discarded without further processing.
  • We are not responsible if the items received do not match those ordered or if any are affected by defects inherent to their production. A package is not our responsibility until it is received by our warehouse staff. If it is lost in transit to our facility, the user must contact the retailer, sender, or carrier.
  • We are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from force majeure (embargo, plane crashes, wars, civil commotions, etc.) and natural disasters ("acts of God") such as fires, hurricanes, floods, storms, etc.

Storage

We will store your package(s) free of charge for up to 60 days. After this period, storage will cost USD $0.25 per day. We are not responsible for the loss, deterioration, or disappearance of your package when it has remained in our warehouse for more than 365 days without the user having requested shipping or paid for storage. After 365 days we will liquidate the contents without prior notice. The storage limit is cumulative and applies to consolidated packages as well. The mentioned cycles are not reset after repackaging your products.

Repackaging / Consolidation

If you request repackaging, we will consolidate all contents of selected packages into one box to save space (and shipping costs). Generally, we remove all complementary information: delivery notes, additional packaging, etc. Once a repack has been completed, requests for additional repackaging will be rejected.

Shipping

After the user pays the shipping costs, their package(s) will be shipped. Although we offer a variety of shipping options (Express, Priority, and Ocean), we reserve the right to add, change, or cancel any shipping method and/or courier service when necessary. If for some reason the service chosen by the user cannot be used, a similar option from another provider will be sought (if none can be found, we will contact the user).

Shopping Service

If a user cannot complete a transaction, we can purchase products on their behalf. The fees to be paid are detailed in the pricing section. We do not purchase the products until after the user pays their full price. In the event that the cost of the ordered products is modified at the time of purchase, we will contact the user via email/WhatsApp to request payment of the difference.

Product Photographs and Inspection

If the user requests it, we can take photographs of the contents of their packages. Fees will apply at a rate of USD $2 per product photo.

General Provisions

Insurance and Claims

Excluding local courier services, all outbound shipments carry basic insurance. The amount refunded depends on the designated carrier's policy. Each user has the opportunity to purchase additional insurance; exact costs vary by carrier.

If a package or item is lost or damaged within our facilities, we will work with users to cover the full cost (and assume full responsibility unless we can prove that the loss/damage/deterioration is not due to negligence on our part).

If an incoming shipment appears to be damaged, we will notify you immediately. This is something that the user will have to resolve with the carrier and/or shipper individually.

Customer Service

Our customer service team can help you with any issues regarding your packages, items, shipments, etc. We usually respond within 48 hours unless your inquiry is sent over the weekend or on Friday (due to time differences). You can contact us through the communication channels available on our website.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy sets out the terms under which Amicasa uses and protects information provided by its users when using its website. Amicasa is committed to the security of its users' data. When we ask you to fill out personal information fields by which you can be identified, we do so ensuring that it will only be used in accordance with this policy. However, this Privacy Policy may change over time or be updated; we recommend reviewing this page periodically.

Information Collected

Amicasa may collect personal information, for example: name, contact information such as your email address, phone number, and country of residence. Likewise, when necessary, specific information may be required to process an order or make a delivery or billing. By using Amicasa services, the user expressly agrees to this privacy policy and undertakes to provide all data necessary to provide the service.

Use of Information

Amicasa will use the information provided by the user in order to provide the best possible service—particularly to maintain a registry of users, orders, shipments, dispatch notifications, complete customs clearance processes, and improve or expand our services. Amicasa may periodically send you emails through our site with special offers, new products, and other advertising information that we consider relevant; these emails will be sent to the address you provide and may be canceled at any time.

Data Sharing

Amicasa is committed to keeping your information secure and confidential. The information you provide will not be disclosed except for the exceptions specified below or those determined by law. Amicasa may transfer personal information provided by the user in the following cases:

  • To make or receive a shipment on behalf of the user.
  • To process customs clearance on behalf of the user.
  • To make purchases on behalf of the user, where requested.
  • To verify the user's identity if necessary.
  • Other special cases in which it is necessary to transfer user information to a third party.

Links to Third Parties

Our website includes links to other sites that may be of interest to you. Once you click on these links and leave our page, we no longer have control over the site to which you are redirected and therefore we are not responsible for the terms or privacy or the protection of your data on those other sites. These sites are subject to their own privacy policies; we recommend that you consult them.

Storage of Your Personal Information

Amicasa will receive and store the information voluntarily provided by the user in its database permanently until the user requests the deletion of their account from our system.

Control of Your Personal Information

The user has the right to modify or delete the information they have provided to Amicasa. The user can, at any time, unsubscribe from our email list. Amicasa will not sell, transfer, or distribute the personal information collected through the forms on our page, except as determined by law.

Store Policy

Amicasa Store is an online shopping market created and operated by Amicasa. To access our online mall, users need to sign up first on amicasa.co.kr. When you make a purchase in the Amicasa Store, a package will be created in your profile as pending and will be processed like any other packages you have at our warehouse. Packages bought at Amicasa Store must be shipped to international addresses. Shipment requests to Korean addresses will be rejected.

Prices

All prices in the Amicasa Store are expressed in USD unless otherwise stated and include a PayPal fee. We reserve the right to change and adjust prices.

Payments

All payments must be made through PayPal.

Storage

Products from the Amicasa Store do not incur storage fees up to a maximum of 4 months. Such a deadline is non-extendable, and once expired, the undelivered packages will be discarded without prior notice.

Refunds

Refunds will only be accepted under the following circumstances:

  • When requested within 24 hours following the purchase.
  • If products are out of stock, missing, damaged, or shipped to the wrong address.

Products

All products displayed in the Amicasa Store are original and 100% official. Actual products might be slightly different in color and shape from the ones shown in the pictures. Because of the nature of some products, there may be fine scratches, which are not defective.

Amicasa is not responsible for any defective or non-defective items.

📜 AmiSafe Shipping Insurance Terms and Conditions

By purchasing the AmiSafe shipping insurance, the client agrees to the following terms and conditions:

1. Service Definition

AmiSafe is an optional insurance service offered by Amicasa to compensate the client in the event of total loss of their package during international shipping, provided that the selected carrier (UPS, DHL, FedEx, or EMS) officially confirms the loss.

2. Cost and Activation

  • Insurance must be purchased at the time of the shipping request.
  • It is paid with the shipping fee and services and its cost is USD $5.
  • The insurance applies to one package only. If multiple boxes are shipped, a separate insurance must be purchased for each.

3. Insurance Coverage

  • Total loss of the package during international transit, confirmed by UPS, DHL, FedEx, or EMS through an official report.

If approved, the client will be compensated in AmiPoints, equivalent to the paid shipping cost, up to a maximum of USD $400.

4. Exclusions

  • Packages marked as delivered according to tracking.
  • Packages held, destroyed, or returned by customs.
  • Partial damage, missing items, or internal theft.
  • Packages sent to an incorrect address provided by the customer.
  • Any case without official loss confirmation from the carrier.

5. Claim Process

  1. Notify Amicasa within 90 days of the last recorded tracking activity.
  2. Amicasa will begin an investigation with the carrier.
  3. If the carrier confirms the loss, Amicasa will issue compensation in AmiPoints within 10 business days after the final resolution.

6. Compensation

  • Compensation is issued exclusively in AmiPoints, a virtual currency valid for future purchases or services within Amicasa.
  • AmiPoints have no cash value, are non-transferable, and non-refundable.

7. Fraud Prevention

  • Reject suspicious or unjustified claims.
  • Suspend access to the AmiSafe service for clients who submit multiple unfounded claims.
  • Request additional documentation before approving a claim.

8. Limitation of Liability

Amicasa is not responsible for decisions made by the shipping carriers or customs policies in the destination country. Compensation under AmiSafe will only be granted if the carrier officially declares the package as lost.

9. Modifications

Amicasa reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will apply to insurances purchased from the date of publication of the new version.
